A few years ago, I got very interested in what makes a compelling story work – not just, "Beginning / Middle / End" or "Put characters in a setting and have them do stuff" but the more complicated scripts that make someone say, "You have to see this!" As it turns out, knowing what makes a compelling story work and writing a compelling story are actually not the same thing, but I did a pretty good job of collecting resources for the first one.
